Common problems of bowing

Here are some common problems beginners or even seasoned players have while bowing. Do check yourself in the mirror to make sure you do not have them.

1) A lack of wrist movement
The wrist can be quite rigid for some. Sometimes it does not move in the same direction as the bow. For example, your wrist is pointing to your left while your bow is moving to the right.

2) Bow swerves in an arc
The bow should move in a straight line. Some players tend to swerve the bow in an arc. This happens if
the right hand is too tense and fails to extend their arms and elbows when moving to the end of the bow.
